Creative Classes and Live Shows at The Mill Arts Centre

Over the last year, here at The Mill Arts Centre we were thrilled to have developed our programme in an ever-changing context, enabling us to continue providing classes, workshops and live performances to the communities of Banbury and beyond.

Our Creative Learning programme of classes and workshops has been able to take place in person when restrictions have allowed, with safety our number one priority. We also launched new online courses, including popular classes in watercolours, drawing and more, as well as Culture Club, our online art and dance courses for older people in the community in partnership with Age UK Oxfordshire.

Our Work Station deal proved immensely popular with those looking for a new and safe place to ‘work from home’ in our Café Bar during the autumn.Down for the Count Swing Orchestra

Furthermore, we were delighted to welcome Lyngo Theatre to perform live at The Mill in December; their festive family show, Snow Play, was a huge hit with audiences both in our socially distanced theatre and live streamed to your homes.

As we move towards summer, we can’t wait to welcome you safely back to The Mill for creative classes and workshops, as well as exciting new live events.

Highlights include weekly classes in Painting and Drawing (from 7th June,) Jewellery Making (from 10th June) and Creative Writing (from 16th June), along with one-off workshops in Flowers in Pots in Acrylics (12th June), Introduction to Lino Printing (3rd July) and Fairy Light Lanterns (10th July).

Hundred Watt Club imageGorgeously ravishing, deliciously risqué and just a little bit ridiculous, travelling vaudeville show Hundred Watt Club (21st May) bring a glittering, sizzling (and socially distanced!) line-up of burlesque showgirls, comedy, circus and cabaret acts to The Mill for the very first time!

You can also join us for a stand-up comedy fix with Shazia Mirza: Coconut (28th May).

Or if you’ve been missing live music, book now for “one hellova celebration of vintage music” (TimeOut London), Legends of Swing with the Down for the Count Swing Orchestra (4th June)!

Tickets can be purchased online, in person at our Box Office, and by contacting our Box Office team on 01295 279002 or
