The Very Hungry Caterpillar Christmas Show

Four timeless stories are brought to life in one delightful family show at The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury this Christmas.

Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Christmas Show (30th November-11th December) is a vibrant celebration of Eric Carle’s adored classics and the perfect introduction to live theatre.

Dive into Eric Carle’s bright and colourful world as his beloved stories are transformed from page to stage, using a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets and charming music. Featuring your favourite titles: Brown Bear, Brown Bear10 Little Rubber DucksDream Snow and of course, the star of the show, The Very Hungry Caterpillar which celebrated its 50th Birthday in 2019. Tickets are £15 or £55 for a family of four.

Developed in Iceland, Snow is a magical, immersive, multi-sensory adventure with live music and puppetry. The perfect introduction to live theatre, and the perfect Christmas adventure for 0-5 year olds and their families.

A collaboration between Oxford-based theatre company Tiny Light Theatre, The Theatre Chipping Norton and The Mill Arts Centre, this magical new early years Christmas show will be performed at Kingsmere Community Centre in Bicester 4th-5th December. Tickets are £10 and available from The Mill Arts Centre website and Box Office.

Or for older children, The Snow Beast (16th December) is a captivating collision of storytelling, an original score and live interactive science experiments that will inspire budding scientists of all ages to engage with the beauty of the unknown and the magic of the everyday. Expect action-packed exploration, extraordinary spectacles and mountainous obstacles as Faina and her owl assistant Maude battle through the wild, wintry wilderness in search of the truth.
