We’re thrilled to welcome the internationally acclaimed dance company ACE Dance & Music to The Mill with UNKNOWNREALMS (9th March). Performed against a backdrop of stunning scenography and dynamic sounds, this double bill offers powerful explosive dance that celebrates mortality, perseverance and hope overcoming adversity – a performance with its finger on the pulse of a new generation.
Our exciting programme of dance continues with The Mill’s Remarkable Dance Company and their brand-new performance, showcased alongside professional choreographer Eva Recacha’s solo dance piece, Because I Can (30th March). The Mill’s dance company for over-50s, the Remarkables have been hard at work to bring us a full-scale dance show in what is sure to be an inspiring evening of dance.
For younger dance enthusiasts, why not join us for The Princess and the Frog (16th February)? Let’s All Dance return to The Mill with their beautiful retelling of this classic tale, with an original score, gorgeous costumes and crystal-clear storytelling to charm audiences young and old. Plus, don’t miss We Touch, We Play, We Dance (5th March) coming to the OYAP Trust in Bicester – a celebratory dance performance for 0–3-year-olds filled with surprises and joys!
If you fancy an evening of laugh-a-minute comedy, come along to Zoe Lyons’ brand-new show Bald Ambition (22nd February), filled with “intelligent conversations and hilarious character comedy” (Three Weeks). As seen on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News for You (BBC1), QI (BBC2), and Mock the Week (BBC2).
★★★★★ “A masterclass of how to write, construct and perform an Edinburgh show, or any show in fact.” – Funny Women
★★★★ “Lyons is on top of her game, in command of her material, her audience and her stage” – Chortle
There’s something for theatre fans too, with Hold On Let Go (15th February). A poignant, personal meditation on the gaps in our memories, this is a feel good show guaranteed to make you smile! Or, for something a little different, don’t miss a special screening of the classic silent horror film Nosferatu (3rd March), accompanied by a live band!
