International Women’s Day at The Mill Arts Centre

This March, join us at The Mill Arts Centre for a celebration of female entrepreneurship and empowerment as we host our highly anticipated Female Founders Fair (9th March). In honour of International Women’s Day, we’re bringing together some of the most inspiring female founders from Oxfordshire and beyond. This year, our fair promises to be bigger and better than ever, with our theatre auditorium opening its doors to accommodate even more stalls. From 10am-2pm on Saturday 9th March, come and explore a diverse array of jewellery, clothing, art, and much more!

But that’s not all – join us later that day for an unforgettable evening of empowering female anthems with Women in Rock (9th March). Featuring electrifying performances and iconic hits from legends like Suzi Quatro, Janis Joplin, Cher, Tina Turner, Pink, Blondie, and Joan Jett, this show will be sure to have you and your family dancing in the aisles!

There’s plenty of comedy on offer this Spring too. There’s still time to catch master comedian Joe Wells (3rd March) as he shares a new stand-up show about representation, role models, and the fight for autistic rights. Or settle down in Central Perk to see the entire 236 episodes of the hit 90s TV show FRIENDS, retold by one actor in 70 minutes in FRIEND (The One With Gunther) (4th April).

“A must-see for old and new fans of F.R.I.E.N.D.S.” ★★★★ Adelaide Advertiser

“Brendan Murphy plays that blonde, awkward Gunther to a tea… or in this case to a coffee cup.” ★★★★ All About Entertainment

“A one-hour, one-man wonder… a mean feat, masterfully delivered” ★★★★★ Dorset Echo

Theatre-lovers are also in for a treat, with captivating performances guaranteed from celebrated stars Colin Baker (of Doctor Who fame) and Terry Molloy (veteran of The Archers) as they embody the iconic Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson in a thrilling adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles (14th March). This live radio-play-on-stage transports audiences to the heart of Victorian England, where murder, mystery, and horror await. Meanwhile, our younger audiences can take a trip with Jack and the Beanstalk (29th March) as he ventures into a world above the clouds or join Goldilocks (5th April) in a family-friendly ballet for all ages!

And, for something a little different, you can delve into the gritty reality of 1960s London with Ronnie, Reggie & Me (6th April) – an intimate exploration of Britain’s most notorious gangsters, as recounted by their trusted biographer Fred Dinenage.

Plus, keep an eye out for our brand-new term of creative classes and workshops going on sale in April. From painting to playwriting, there’s bound to be something to inspire your artistic side!
