Spark your Children’s Wonder and Imagination at The Mill this Spring!

On Saturday 18th April, see the brilliant stage production of Tales from Acorn Wood, based on the best-selling lift-the-flap books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Following its huge 2022–23 tour success – delighting over 30,000 audience members – your little ones can meet Fox, Pig, Rabbit, Bear and friends live on stage!

Poor old Fox has lost his socks! Are they in the kitchen or inside the clock? And Rat-a-tat-tat! Who’s that keeping tired Rabbit awake? You can also join in with Pig and Hen’s game of hide-and-seek and discover the special surprise Postman Bear is planning for his friends.

The show is packed full of toe-tapping songs and an array of beautifully crafted puppets, as well as striking state of the art staging, projection and technology – it promises to be the perfect treat for children of all ages!

Julia Donaldson said: “I am really happy that the Tales from Acorn Wood has moved to the stage. Live performance and songs are both very close to my heart.”

Then, on Saturday 30th May, The Let’s All Dance Ballet Company return to Banbury with their enchanting production of The Very Busy Bumblebee. With themes of friendship and sustainability, this sweet, funny show is the perfect introduction to live ballet!

Mr. Grumpy the Gardener doesn’t like bees – he doesn’t like them buzzing round his head, and he’s always worried about being stung! But Beatrice the Very Busy Bumblebee just wants to whizz from flower to flower, collect nectar and make lovely honey. Can Beatrice teach Mr. Grumpy how important she is for his garden and for the whole world?

With larger-than-life characters, crystal clear storytelling and fabulous dancing, this is a beautifully engaging show for little ones aged 0-8 and helps to teach them just how important our little yellow and black furry friends really are.
