We offer a wide range of services at the practice including bespoke Preventative Children’s care, Hygienist therapy, cosmetic dentistry with tooth coloured fillings as standard, Invisalign, implants, dentures, tooth whitening and facial aesthetics.

Routine Examination

Your dental examination is not only to check your teeth, your dentist will check your gum health, and we complete oral cancer screenings as part of every examination.

Any ulcer, sore or lump that has been present for more than two weeks should be checked by your dentist no matter how small it is.

Emergency Dental care

At Amsel and Wilkins Dental Practice, we offer all our patients access to our emergency on call dentist and strive to treat all dental emergencies within 24 hours, we accept new private patients and are able to offer you an appointment quickly, sometimes on the same day. From one off emergency appointments to the whole family for general dental care, we are here to help.

Invisalign

Invisalign is a highly discreet way of realigning teeth, from making mild cosmetic improvements to treating more complex cases. This treatment uses a series of bespoke clear aligners to gently move your teeth into a more desirable position, closing gaps, straightening and realigning them as required. Invisalign has been around since 1999 and is now in its fifth generation, allowing a wider range of problems to be treated.

Piers Neville and Nigel Braine- Hartnell are our accredited providers with Piers being awarded ‘Platinum II Invisalign Comprehensive Provider’ in 2004, meaning he has treated hundreds of cases and is able to carry out a wide range of treatments including complex cases.

Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to gently move your teeth into a better position. They are bespoke, to fit your teeth and because they are clear, nobody need know you are having orthodontic treatment. Unlike conventional braces the aligners are also removable, meaning you can take them out for short periods to clean, to brush your teeth and to eat and drink.

Whitening

Do you have stained teeth that make you feel self-conscious about smiling? Teeth whitening can be a good solution for certain types of tooth staining.

Teeth can be stained by food, drink, smoking and certain medication. Teeth whitening is a safe procedure that can lighten the colour of your teeth by using a safe dental bleaching agent. Individual results vary and are based on your initial tooth colour and the nature of your tooth staining.

At Amsel and Wilkins, we custom-make a lightweight plastic mouth tray for you that fits snugly over your teeth. You then put a whitening gel inside the tray and wear it at night or for a few hours during the day. Results are normally seen over 2 weeks and your teeth will also appear whiter and brighter.

Implants

Implants are bionic tooth roots directly placed in the jaw bone, and used to support replacement teeth in the form of crowns, fixed bridges or secured dentures, implants are small titanium screws specially treated to encourage integration in the bone, and act much like tooth roots.

Dentures

If you have lost all or many of your teeth, dentures can help restore not only your smile and confidence but your ability to bite and chew. The advantages of a denture are that they are relatively inexpensive, quick to make and no surgery or treatment to your other teeth is required.

Facial Aesthetics

We provide a range of Facial aesthetic treatments, please see our website for details. www.amsel-wilkins.co.uk
