A special event at Upton House & Gardens will help family and friends remember their loved ones, whilst raising money for their local hospice. Katharine House Hospice’s Rose to Remember scheme, this year sponsored by CMS Wealth, gives people the chance to honour the life of someone special by purchasing a beautiful white hand-crafted metal rose in their memory.

The roses will form part of a stunning temporary installation at The National Trust’s Upton House from 18 June until Sunday 30 June, with the National Trust very generously offering free admission to anyone who purchases a rose during this time to visit their rose on display.

An exclusive viewing for everyone who purchases a rose will take place at Upton House on Tuesday 18 June, with members of Katharine House on hand to support visitors.

Each rose, costing £30, has been crafted with care for the hospice by Black Country Metal Works and measures around 10cm in diameter and 50cm high when inserted in the ground.

Following the event, the roses will be carefully cleaned and available for collection from the hospice during the weeks beginning 1 and 8 July after the display, or, for an additional fee of £6 per rose, the hospice will send the rose in the post.

Individual Giving Manager Sally Brooks said: “Roses were the favourite flower of Katharine Gadsby, whom our hospice was named after, and now form part of our logo – so it feels like a fitting tribute to have chosen them as the theme for our annual event.”

“We are so grateful for Upton Trust for their generosity, and for CMS Wealth for sponsoring the event this year.”
