Banbury Town Council is thrilled to invite you to the Banbury Food & Drink Festival on Sunday the 18th of August, from 10:30 to 16:30. Set in the heart of Banbury, this festival promises a delightful day of culinary experiences, live entertainment, and fun activities for the whole family.

The festival will feature around 80 traders, each offering a diverse range of delicious food and drink. From local delicacies to international cuisines, there’s something to satisfy every palate. Wander through the stalls, sample gourmet treats, and discover new flavours.

Whether you’re a fan of sweet or savoury, traditional or exotic, you’ll find plenty to tantalise your taste buds.

Fun for the Little Chefs

One of the festival’s most exciting attractions is the Kid’s Cookery Workshops hosted by Get Cooking! These workshops provide an interactive and engaging environment where children can learn the basics of cooking.

Under the guidance of expert chefs, young participants will gain hands-on experience in preparing delicious dishes. The sessions focus on practical cooking skills, teaching children about different ingredients, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety. Parents can easily book these workshops on the day, making it a convenient and spontaneous activity for families attending the festival.

Get Cooking! is a local initiative renowned for its dedication to teaching cooking skills to people of all ages. Their involvement in the festival ensures that the workshops are not only fun but also educational.

Live Music All Day

Music lovers will enjoy a full day of live performances from talented local artists. The lineup kicks off with Eva Gadd from 10:30 to 11:15, followed by Chris & Hannah Tobin from 11:30 to 12:15. Mr. Bigglesworth will entertain from 12:30 to 13:15, and Abi Rowberry takes the stage from 13:30 to 14:15. Beau Norton performs from 14:30 to 15:15, and the day concludes with Dom James Jnr. from 15:30 to 16:15.

With a variety of genres and styles, the live music will provide the perfect backdrop to your culinary adventure.

Sustainable and Eco-Friendly

This year, the festival places a strong emphasis on sustainability and eco-friendliness. Many of the food and drink vendors are committed to using locally sourced ingredients, reducing waste, and offering eco-friendly packaging. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags and containers to minimise waste and contribute to the festival’s green initiatives.

Upcoming Banbury Events

The Banbury Canal Festival, taking place on the 5th and 6th of October, is a celebration of the town’s waterways heritage. Enjoy boat rides, live music, craft stalls, and family-friendly activities.

Kick off the festive season at the Banbury Christmas Lights Switch On event on Sunday the 24th of November. This festive evening will feature live performances, a Christmas market, and the magical switch-on ceremony.
