Christmas has come early for Lake House Care Home in Adderbury, near Banbury, which has been named one of the winners of Dunelm’s annual Delivering Joy campaign. This initiative spreads festive cheer by providing personalised gifts to deserving recipients in the community.

The Delivering Joy campaign invites the public to nominate individuals, families, and organisations who deserve extra joy at Christmas. Once chosen, Dunelm’s local stores hand-pick gifts to make the season special.
The team at Lake House were thrilled to learn they had been selected. Dunelm asked for a list of residents’ names to ensure each gift was thoughtfully chosen. The campaign ensures those who might miss out on Christmas magic feel remembered and appreciated.

Bringing Festive Cheer To Adderbury

Lake House Care Home provides residential, dementia, respite and day care. Staff continually go above and beyond to ensure residents feel cherished, especially during the holidays. With support from Dunelm’s Banbury store, residents will receive extra gifts to brighten their celebrations. Alexandra Grindle, Home Manager at Lake House, said:
“It’s so lovely for our residents to have an extra present at Christmas. It really makes a difference, and the thoughtfulness behind these gifts means so much. We’re incredibly grateful to Dunelm—it feels like a Christmas miracle!”

A Community Coming Together

Dunelm’s Delivering Joy campaign celebrates community spirit by delivering gifts to nominated recipients. Thanks to the thoughtfulness of the Banbury community, Lake House was recognised as a place where care and joy shine every day.

Spreading Joy

The campaign highlights the importance of connection and giving at Christmas. For Lake House’s residents, this recognition and the gifts will make the festivities even more special.
