Most-Streamed Star Wars Titles

Star Wars has amassed countless fans across several generations and the collected streaming data highlights the eternal Force of the franchise. JustWatch released an exclusive report ahead of Star Wars Day (May the 4th), diving into the most-streamed titles across the Star Wars universe. From the timeless legacy of George Lucas’ original trilogy to the current crop from Disney’s modern revival, JustWatch’s findings reveal how the Force continues to captivate British audiences.

Drawing from millions of data points collected from JustWatch users, from 2019-April 28th 2025, the report uncovers the top-performing Star Wars films and series and how streaming preferences vary between generations of fans.

Who is the Force Strongest With?

Amongst the key findings, The Mandalorian reigns supreme. The flagship Disney+ series starring Pedro Pascal outperformed the original trilogy by over 25%, cementing its status as the most-watched Star Wars title.

However, film favourites still fly high as the original trilogy collectively still held over 30% of the film streaming share. Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, often regarded as the best, remains the most-streamed film from the Lucas-era classics.

Elsewhere, the Prequel Trilogy have collectively soared high with fans, each with a strong percentage in the streaming charts. Although much-reviled upon initial release, the Prequel Trilogy have gained a resurgence, each  entry beating those of the Sequel Trilogy.

This adds to the recent success of Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. The concluding chapter to the Prequels has been exceeding expectations with its colossal grossing of $25 million in US cinemas, with an additional $17 million from the worldwide box office to mark 20 years since initial release. This is the largest profit of a re-released movie in celebration of its anniversary. Only the re-release of James Cameron’s Titanic in 2012 made more than Sith (a mammoth $350 million).

An element of that is Hayden Christensen’s portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in the prequels. Christensen has seen a resurgence, outpacing Jake Lloyd and even the early Mark Hamill-led films in younger demographics.

And the Sequel Trilogy remained the lowest of the three stages of the Skywalker Saga, although The Rise of Skywalker leads among Disney’s theatrical releases.

Shows like Ahsoka and Andor surged in popularity since 2024. Others like Star Wars: Visions and The Book of Boba Fett landed among the least-streamed titles, despite critical acclaim.

Streaming Insights You Won’t Find Anywhere Else

Backed by exclusive behavioural data from millions of UK-based users, JustWatch delivers a rare window into actual streaming intent — not just ratings or views. This includes user interactions like adding titles to watchlists, clicking out to platforms like Disney+, and filtering by genre or franchise.

Unlike traditional metrics, JustWatch captures real-time decision-making across the streaming ecosystem, revealing not only what fans are watching, but how they’re discovering and prioritizing Star Wars content.

These insights uncover deeper trends, such as surging interest in niche titles like Star Wars: Rebels and the growing appeal of character-centric spin-offs among Gen Z viewers.
