Banbury Town Council will be hosting two fantastic events this July; the Town Mayor’s Funday and Banbury Music Mix. Both events are returning favourites from previous years, and remain some of the most popular Banbury Town Council events year on year; you won’t want to miss them!
The Town Mayor’s Funday can trace its roots back hundreds of years, and is the current iteration of Banbury’s traditional town fete. Set in the tranquil surroundings of People’s Park, it is a chance to enjoy a fun family day out in the heart of Banbury. Every year, the Town Mayor’s Funday grows in size and scope, with an ever-increasing wealth of attractions, activities, and performances.
Last year had several activities that were completely free of charge. These included a climbing wall, face-painting, ferret racing, live music and the incredibly popular Lennie the Land Train. While we don’t want to spoil too much, we can reveal that at least two of these are making their grand return.
Meanwhile, the last weekend of July will see Banbury Music Mix return to the centre of town, once again transforming Market Place into the beating heart of Banbury’s live music scene. With a line-up that promises to rock the night away, it’ll be another concert to remember, with completely free entry and visitors of all ages welcome.
Banbury Music Mix is made possible by Banbury Music Mix Radio, a local radio station dedicated to popular names, unique talent, and rising stars from across the local region.
Come along to the Town Mayor’s Funday on the 13th July in People’s Park, from 11:30 – 16:30.
Meanwhile, catch Banbury Music Mix on the 25th July in Banbury Market Place from 17:30 – 22:30.
