Renault 4 E-Tech Electric Feature

The legendary Renault 4 is back — and this time, it’s fully electric. More than 60 years after the original captured hearts across Europe, Renault has reimagined its most iconic model for the modern era. The result is the Renault 4 E-Tech Electric: a retro-styled compact crossover that blends nostalgia with forward-thinking design, offering a practical, stylish and eco-conscious solution for drivers who want to stand out.

Jaybee Motors, a trusted Renault main dealer in Banbury, is excited to bring this all-new model to customers across Oxfordshire and beyond. With a projected price from just £27,000, the new Renault 4 undercuts rivals while delivering modern electric performance and serious curb appeal.

Retro Styling, Reinvented for Today

The original Renault 4 was built with simplicity and practicality in mind — values that are still very much at the core of its modern electric successor. The new Renault 4 E-Tech retains key design cues from the classic 4L: the tall, upright body, smooth curves, and a friendly face that feels instantly familiar. But everything else is thoroughly 21st-century.

This is a compact crossover with SUV-inspired features — think raised ride height, wide wheel arches, modern LED lighting, and bold two-tone colour options. The Renault 4 stands out on the road without being overstated — a rare quality in today’s EV market.

Electric Range and Performance

Powered by a 42kWh battery, the Renault 4 E-Tech is expected to deliver a driving range of up to 250 miles (WLTP), making it ideal for both everyday journeys and weekend getaways. It’s built on the same platform as the upcoming Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, ensuring tried-and-tested electric performance with excellent energy efficiency.

The car offers smooth, quiet acceleration thanks to the instant torque of its electric motor, with regenerative braking helping to top up the battery on the go. Compact and agile, the R4 will feel right at home in busy towns and cities, while also offering enough comfort and space for longer trips.

Smart, Simple, and Practical Inside

Although Renault has yet to fully reveal the interior of the R4, it’s expected to share many of the same features found in the new Renault 5. Drivers can look forward to:

  • A digital dashboard with customisable displays
  • Google-based infotainment and voice control
  • Over-the-air software updates
  • Recycled and sustainable interior materials

Thanks to its upright design, the R4 offers excellent headroom and flexible space throughout the cabin. There’s a wide boot opening, generous luggage space, and clever storage — making it ideal for family use or adventurous weekends away.

Fast Charging and Easy Everyday Use

The Renault 4 E-Tech supports DC rapid charging, with a 15–80% recharge expected in around 30 minutes when connected to a high-speed public charger. For everyday use, drivers can charge at home using a wallbox, or access a growing number of public charging networks through Renault’s Mobilize services.

Renault’s connected app, My Renault, will make it easy to manage the car remotely — from checking battery levels to pre-conditioning the cabin on chilly mornings.

Technology and Safety

Despite its retro charm, the Renault 4 E-Tech Electric is loaded with modern tech. Expected safety and convenience features include:

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Lane departure warning
  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Parking cameras and sensors
  • Traffic sign recognition

Built to the latest safety standards, the R4 is designed to protect its occupants while providing a smooth, confident drive.

Affordable Electric Driving

With prices set to start from just £27,000, the Renault 4 E-Tech Electric offers excellent value in today’s EV market. It’s more affordable than many of its competitors, including the Fiat 600e and MINI Aceman — and it delivers a longer real-world range than both.

For private buyers and company car drivers alike, the R4 offers low running costs, potential tax benefits, and the peace of mind that comes with going electric.

Available Soon from Jaybee Motors in Banbury

As an official Renault dealer,Jaybee Motors will be among the first in the UK to offer the new Renault 4 E-Tech Electric. With a long history of serving customers across Banbury, Oxfordshire and the surrounding area, the team is already taking enquiries and expressions of interest.
