Unmissable Stories and Nostalgia at The Mill

The Mill

As the days get shorter and the nights get cosier, The Mill is here to brighten your evenings with a fantastic line-up of unforgettable performances – from laugh-out-loud comedy and powerful theatre to epic music shows and nostalgic nights out!

Get ready for I’m Muslamic Don’t Panik (14th October) – a critically acclaimed show starring Bobak Champion, which blends live music, spoken word, breakdancing, and comedy to tell a heartfelt, hilarious story of cultural heritage and self-discovery as he journeys to Iran. After the show, enjoy a post-performance gathering with Persian tea and traditional date biscuits, and meet the team behind this uplifting production.

Next up, Fanboy (16th October) takes us on a love-hate journey through pop culture and childhood nostalgia, as nerdy Joe unpacks old boxes – and old memories – of Star Wars, Nintendo and The Muppets. Along the way, he explores our relationship to our past and future selves and asks why his generation is so obsessed with its childhood.

For our classic theatre fans, The Play’s The Thing presents two masterful monologues from Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads (22nd October) – A Lady of Letters and Soldiering On. Experience and incredible performance of these iconic stories from one of Britain’s greatest playwrights.

Comedy lovers are in for a treat this Autumn, with the brilliantly unique Marcel Lucont’s Whine List (17th October) – an interactive show full of audience confessions, Gallic wit, and delightfully dry humour. Expect sharp takes and hilarious stories, all served up by the multi-award deserving deadpan Frenchman.

We’re also thrilled to welcome back Joe Wells with his newest stand-up show Daddy Autism (23rd October) – a laugh-out-loud exploration of fatherhood through the lens of neurodiversity, packed with clever insights and praised by the Guardian for being ‘some of the most surprising and thought-provoking material coming from any comedian’.

Music fans, prepare to spice up your life with That’s So 90s: The 90s Nostalgia Party! (18th October) From Britpop to dancefloor bangers, Girl Power to Cool Britannia, this high-energy night is a full-on celebration of the decade that changed music forever. Or dance along to your favourite musical hits in the daytime with The Greatest Musicals Daytime Disco (25th October)! This high-energy show brings you all your favourite showtunes – from Hamilton and Grease to Mamma Mia and Wicked – in a feel-good singalong party that’s perfect for musical lovers of all ages, especially those aged 14+.

We’re delighted to have the international smash-hit The Simon and Garfunkel Story  (24th October) on our stage – a stunning live show charting the journey of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel from their early days to their legendary Central Park reunion concert. With beautiful performances of all the classics, film footage and striking visuals, this is a must-see experience for any true fan.

And finally, don’t forget to visit our fantastic Dance Stage at Banbury Canal Festival (4th & 5th October) this weekend – a wonderful free event for the whole family with epic world-class performances and brilliant community shows. Our friendly team can’t wait to see you there!

Be sure to book your tickets early, as these incredible events are selling fast. Visit our website or pick up our What’s On Guide to discover what’s on at your local theatre!
