BayView Entertainment partners with Human Appeal to bring the groundbreaking film to global streaming audiences. Pot of Gold, the award-winning and visually stunning independent documentary filmed in the remote valleys of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, has officially launched on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
Produced by Chief Productions in partnership with global humanitarian charity Human Appeal, and distributed by BayView Entertainment, Pot of Gold tells the remarkable true story of an ambitious honey-beekeeping project that is transforming livelihoods and restoring fragile ecosystems in one of the world’s most isolated regions. The production made history as the first foreign-produced documentary granted permission to film in this part of Kashmir.
Blending immersive observational filmmaking with personal interviews, rare archival material, and playful reenactments performed by real Kashmiri farmers, the documentary captures a powerful tale of hope, resilience, and community innovation.
Viewers follow local families as they build a thriving honey enterprise generating more than $1 million in sustainable income, while strengthening the vital relationship between people, pollinators, and the environment.
“Making this documentary available on major platforms such as Amazon Prime Video allows us to share this inspiring story with even more audiences worldwide,” said Owais Khan, Deputy CEO of Human Appeal. “Pot of Gold embodies what we stand for at Human Appeal: empowering local communities to protect their environment, build sustainable livelihoods, and shape their own futures. It’s a vivid reminder that meaningful climate solutions often take root in the courage and resilience of everyday people.”
The film was produced, co-directed, and partially narrated by environmentalist Billy Offland, whose years of research into climate change and biodiversity loss infuse the documentary with both urgency and humanity.
Fresh off its recent feature on EarthX, a leading environmental broadcast and streaming platform, Pot of Gold now continues its global reach with expanded availability on Amazon Prime Video.
