Award-winning comedy-drama coming to Banbury

The Mill

Fresh from an acclaimed, award-winning Edinburgh Festival Fringe premiere, The Mill Arts Centre is excited to welcome Biff to the Future to its stage on Thursday 26th February! The iconic villain of Back to the Future takes centre stage in this comedic reimagination of Marty’s time-travelling escapades, turning the celebrated cinematic trilogy on its head from the perspective of Biff – the bully audiences love to hate.

This new, heartfelt and unauthorised parody explores the highs and lows of a life spent chasing power, fame and fortune, reliving Biff’s encounters with Marty and Doc across the centuries.

Created and performed by Joseph Maudsley (as seen in the Reduced Shakespeare Company, FRIEND (The One with Gunther) and Potted Potter), and directed by double Olivier Award nominee Daniel Clarkson, this is an absolute must-see for any Back to the Future fans!

Or perhaps you’re more of a medical soap opera fan? Award-winning Dyad Productions (That Knave, Raleigh and A Christmas Carol) return to The Mill Arts Centre with their riotous show General Medical Emergency Ward 10 on Sunday 8th March.

The Mill

This joint production with Company Gavin Robertson tells the story of Dr Ann Fleming’s first day at St David’s, where her unfortunately named mentor, Dr Death, is determined to show her who’s boss. As medical emergencies overload the hapless staff, Dr Fleming must juggle a complicated budding love affair – with a kidney – and a nosy hospital boss. Not literally.

A pacy, cliché-ridden comic homage to the intrigues and dramas of every hospital plotline on screen – it’s bound to have you in stitches! Holby City, Casualty, E.R., Doctors and more are reimagined and invigorated in this five-star production.
