Rod Campbell’s Books Come To Life On Stage

Dear Zoo

The Mill Arts Centre is delighted to welcome the acclaimed stage adaptation of Dear Zoo this August (Fri 7th & Sat 8th). Based on Rod Campbell’s beloved lift-the-flap classic, which has enchanted young readers since its publication in 1982 and sold more than eight million copies worldwide, this charming production brings the much-loved story to life on stage.

Join the adventure as letters are sent to the zoo – but which animals will arrive? Will it be a cheeky monkey, a jumpy frog or the perfect puppy? Packed with engaging puppetry, music and plenty of audience interaction, the show promises a fun-filled theatrical experience for children and families alike.

Described by Whatsgoodtodo.co.uk as a ‘must-see for fans of the book, and for any young child who likes animals!’, Dear Zoo is the perfect family outing this summer.

The magic continues in December as the company returns with Dear Santa (14th – 24th) – praised by Mumsnet as ‘a magical family treat and a joy to watch’.

In this festive tale, Santa is determined to find the perfect Christmas present for Sarah, though he doesn’t quite get it right at first. With the help of his cheeky elf, Santa finally discovers the ‘perfect’ gift just in time for Christmas Eve.

Sure to create unforgettable festive memories for children and parents alike, every ticket also includes the chance to meet Santa in his grotto and receive a special gift.

Families booking tickets for both shows can also enjoy a 10% discount! So be sure to book your tickets early, as these incredible shows are selling fast.
