Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th November 2026
Banbury town centre will glow with festive spirit this November as the Banbury Winter Market makes its much-anticipated return for a second year.
Running from Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th November 2026, the event promises a weekend packed with entertainment, local shopping and community spirit, all designed to bring the magic of Christmas to the heart of the town.
Saturday’s festivities run from 10am to 7pm, while Sunday continues from 10am to 6pm, concluding in a spectacular finale featuring the Christmas lights switch-on, fairground rides and a dazzling fireworks display to send visitors home with festive cheer.
Entertainment will be woven throughout the whole weekend, with Banbury BID’s much-loved inflatables and their towering stiltman making a welcome return to delight visitors of all ages.
Music and performance lovers are in for a treat too, with live sets from the NOA Drummers, Middleton Cheney Choir, Radio Horton and the Warriner School Choir, filling the town with seasonal sound.
Of course, no winter market would be complete without the stalls, and this year’s line-up doesn’t disappoint. Shoppers can browse handmade crafts and jewellery, artisan food and bakes, and warm themselves at the bars while toasting their own marshmallows over an open flame.
Tooleys Boat Yard will be bringing their forge along for a hands-on glimpse of traditional craftsmanship, and Banbury United Lottery will also be on hand with a stand of their own.
Beyond the market stalls, the weekend offers the perfect chance to explore everything Banbury town centre has to offer, with local independent shops ready to help visitors tick off their Christmas shopping lists while supporting the local economy.
This will be the second year that the Banbury BID team have hosted the Winter Market, following on from a successful debut, with the aim of driving footfall back into the town centre and giving local businesses a valuable platform to encourage residents to shop local this Christmas.
Mark your calendars, Banbury Winter Market 2026 promises to be bigger, brighter and more festive than ever, and is not to be missed.
