We’re thrilled to welcome After All (30th June) to The Mill Arts Centre’s stage – a moving and thought-provoking dance-theatre experience created by Dundee-based French artist Solène Weinachter. Following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, this critically acclaimed show celebrates the courage and vulnerability of being human. Blending dance, theatre, storytelling, and comedy, After All invites us to sit with themes of death, dying and loss – in a space that’s raw, real, and ultimately full of life. As The Times puts it, it’s ‘bursting with vitality.’
Looking for a night of music to lift your spirits? Oye Santana (27th June) brings the iconic sound of Carlos Santana to life, with electrifying performances of all the greatest hits – Maria Maria, Oye Como Va, Black Magic Woman, Smooth – and more. Classic rock’n’roll fans shouldn’t miss Buddy Holly and The Cricketers (28th June), who continue to wow audiences worldwide with their toe-tapping energy and hauntingly beautiful ballads. The Retro Rock Show (4th July) is bound to have you on your feet with a musical retro journey featuring songs by Queen, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Billy Idol, Fleetwood Mac and many more. Or step into the glittering world of Whitney Houston with I’m Every Whitney (5th July), a spectacular tribute show complete with nostalgia, powerhouse vocals, and a live ‘Million Dollar Band’.
If you’re looking for something a bit different, then join ADHD expert Hester Grainger for ADHD Unmasked (20th June) – an interactive and dopamine-filled evening, where she will share how to embrace your speedy brain, learn to be kinder to yourself and how to focus on your strengths. Or take a slower route with Canal Boat Stories (3rd July) – a fun, interactive theatre show by world-renowned narrow boater, presenter, iPhone filmmaker and guitarist Robbie Cumming, full of canal-themed escapism.
We’re also excited to welcome Banbury Cross Players back as they present an original play by Hannah O’Donnell, Puck (10th – 12th July), that follows the familiar antics of our favourite fairies from William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream – with a modern twist!
And of course, it wouldn’t be summer without a healthy dose of comedy! We’ve got an incredible line-up of Edinburgh Preview shows, including the brilliant Ahir Shah – winner of the 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Award – and Bilal Zafar (26th June), a lastminute.com Best Newcomer nominee. Plus, Best Newcomer Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Joe Kent-Walters and Friday Night Dinner and Plebs star Tom Rosenthal will be delighting us with a double bill of their latest stand-up shows (17th July).
