In agreeing to the advertisement order the customer offers to place one or more advertisements with Read This Limited (hereinafter called ‘The Company’) on the terms and conditions herein stated, such offer being accepted by The Company subject as is hereinafter set out, when a copy of the said advertisement order is received by The Company.
All advertisements are accepted on the understanding that any descriptions relating to goods or services do not in any way contravene the provisions of the Trade Descriptions Act 1968.
The advertiser will indemnify The Company and the printers against any damage they may sustain as a consequence of the publication of their announcement.
The Company reserves the right to refuse to insert any advertisement, that they consider unsuitable for publication and shall not be liable for the failure of an advertisement to appear or any causes whatsoever. No responsibility can be accepted for damage to or loss of artwork or other advertising material. No guarantee can be given that orders facing matter will appear as such. However, the difference between the facing matter and the ordinary position rate will be refunded when it is impossible to meet the conditions of that order. (Wherever possible the advertiser will be informed prior to publication).
Advertisement rates are subject to immediate revision at any time and orders are accepted on condition that the price binds The Company only in respect to the next issue to go to press.
Price rises are never popular, but are sometimes a necessary part of business. As with all businesses, inflation drives up the cost to run Read This Magazine every year. That is why we believe that the use of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) (the official inflation measure in the UK economy), as determined by the Office for National Statistics, as a baseline to calculate our annual price rises is fair and will let us continue to offer excellent service and invest in our business. All agreed advertising rates will increase in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) % inflation rate published by the Office for National Statistics on the 1st of April each year. Price increases will be implemented from the July issue onward.
Are only accepted if received in writing by the company. We can only accept cancellations received by our ‘cut-off date’ as outlined in the table below:

Is required in full on copy approval. In the event of copy not being supplied on time, The Company reserve the right to repeat any previous advertisement.
We reserve the right to pass all overdue accounts to a third-party debt collection agency.
Generally, the copy deadline is five weeks before publication (e.g. 20 January 2020 being the deadline for the March 2020 issue). In the event of copy not being supplied on time, The Company reserve the right to repeat any previous advertisement.
We have a small team that chases up outstanding copy, it is the advertiser’s responsibility to submit copy on time and to specification. If we don’t receive copy by the deadline, we may have to fill the space with other copy so the page can be released on time. This is outside our control, so please don’t leave everything to the last minute in case you suffer a technical problem. In these circumstances, the space will still be invoiced.
Repeated advertisements will appear exactly as they have been published. The Company is not responsible for updating any information to align with more recent advertisements. Where artwork is required, a proof will be provided for approval. Copy for advertisements must be provided digitally. Copy deemed excessive or unnecessary will be reduced by the Editor. Copy must clearly state all contact details to appear in the advertisement. Logo and image files must be provided digitally at 300dpi as either TIFF/EPS/PDF/PSD/AI/JPEG files. All copy/logos/images for the advertisement must be provided at the booking stage. For artwork purposes, a Pantone/Spot/CMYK reference must be provided to ensure any colour accuracy required. Without such references, colour matching cannot be guaranteed.
