Christmas At The Mill!

Christmas at The Mill

The festive season is here, and we’ve got an exciting lineup to help you embrace the Christmas spirit! With all our shows back in full swing at The Mill since repairs to our auditorium floor were completed back in October, we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

For children aged 3 and up (and their grown-ups), The Gruffalo (5-24th December), a musical adaptation by Tall Stories of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s beloved picture book, promises monstrous fun! Our relaxed performances filled with songs and laughter are perfect for bringing the whole family together this Christmas.

As part of Out of the Mill, our programme of activity taking place outside our walls, don’t miss Little Robin Red Vest (21st-24th December) at Bicester Leisure Centre. This heartwarming story of friendship, generosity and the joy of giving features original songs, puppetry, and Makaton – perfect for children ages 2-6 and their families.

Prepare to be enchanted by The Nutcracker (1st December) as Ballet Theatre UK blends Tchaikovsky’s magical score with stunning choreography. This lavish full-length production, with its glittering sets and elegant costumes, will whisk you away to a world of dancing dolls and swirling snowflakes. Meanwhile, Brother Wolf brings a fresh take on a timeless festive classic with their multi-award-winning production of A Christmas Carol – As Told by Jacob Marley (Deceased) (5th December). Told from the viewpoint of Scrooge’s late business partner, we see how three spirits helped Scrooge discover the true meaning of love and forgiveness. It’s a thrilling, chilling, and exciting experience for all ages!

For music lovers, rock out to That 80s Christmas Rock Show (13th December), a festive tribute to the 1980s, with hits from Bon Jovi, Queen, Bonnie Tyler, Journey, and Guns N’ Roses. Plus, don’t miss St Agnes Fountain (3rd December)performingtheir carols with a curve.

If you’re looking for a break from the Christmas madness, check out The Dreamer (6th December), a mesmerizing new magic show from internationally renowned magician James Phelan, star of The Greatest Magician. This show, unlike anything you’ve seen before, will leave you aching with laughter and dizzy in disbelief!

Finally, we’re proud to presentour programmer’s pick for this month – After All (2nd December), a solo dance-theatre performance by Solène Weinachter, celebrating our vulnerable and courageous existence through a series of comedic re-enactments of the funerals of those she’s loved.

There’s something for everyone this Christmas season, so come and celebrate with us! Be sure to book your tickets early and prepare for laughter, music, and magical experiences.

Visit our website or pick up our What’s On Guide to discover what’s on at your local theatre!
