2025 Oscar Nominations

The 2025 Oscar Nominations for the 97th annual Academy Awards were announced Thursday morning, with Conclave, Wicked and A Complete Unknown leading the charge.

Among the hopefuls is wizard musical, Wicked, which finds itself POP-U-LAR with 10 nominations, including Best Actress (lead and support) for Cynthia Erivo and Arianna Grande. And forget Dancing Through Life, as the musical is dancing through the technical categories, including makeup, editing, sound and production design.

Conclave, papal drama lead by Ralph Fiennes, has already been blessed as leader of the BAFTA nominations and has now scooped 8 for good measure. Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, also secures 8, including Timothee Chalamet for his second Oscar nomination since Call Me By Your Name.

Emilia Pérez, Netflix musical starring Zoe Saldana and Selena Gomez, is the biggest contender, with 13 in total. Such an accomplishment leaves it one nomination shy of tying the record for overall nominations from a single film; Titanic and La La Land received 14.

The Oscars is scheduled to be handed out on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
