I have just booked a flight to Freetown!
I am flying out on Tuesday the 19th and landing back on Wednesday the 27th and will have 7 days to check on several of the projects. One of the main reasons for the visit is to oversee the laying out of the staff hostel at Westminster School, which I have now agreed to fund. I have sent enough funds for them to prepare the foundations and produce the first batch of concrete blocks so that they will be ready to start the building when I arrive.
We will agree on the final layout of the rooms on the first day of my visit to the site.
Currently five of the staff are spending 15% of their wage on public transport to get them to and from work. Each of the staff will have a single room and I plan to supply each of the rooms with a bed.

MOMOH
Many of you will be familiar with Momoh, who the project has been supporting for several years. His house is located in a community that has no tarmac roads, so his wheelchair usually only lasts for about a year. A couple of weeks ago Pastor Mark contacted me to say that once again there was a need. I have a brand-new wheelchair and a good as new one in my garage, but it would take about 5 weeks to reach Freetown if I ship one. I had some funds “in country” and as you can see, he now has a new chair which he is really pleased with and I think the dog approves as well!!
Thanks to Jean, a regular supporter, for sponsoring Momoh’s wheelchair.
