Enchanting family adventure comes to The Mill this summer

Raucous comedy, sensational music acts, workshops in fairy light lanterns and life drawing, and a fantastic interactive adventure for families – there’s something for everyone at The Mill this summer.

Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep, and can’t fall asleep without them! The Adventures of Bo Peep (7th August) is a brand-new and magical adaptation of the well-loved nursery rhyme. With an interactive story and sensory learning, look out for a flock of woollen puppets, original music and sheep themed silliness. A perfect theatre introduction for your little ones (recommended for ages 2-6)!

Comedy fans will love Scummy Mummies (9th July). Following their sell-out UK tour, join Ellie and Helen as they celebrate the scummier side of parenting, from drinking wine at teatime to hiding from the PTA. Bring your friends and make it a Mum’s (or Dad’s!) night out!

With their trademark blend of silly, joyful songs, deadpan stand-up and riotous storytelling, Jonny & The Baptists: Dance Like It Never Happened (17th July) is the funniest, most joyful and uplifting show you will ever see about feeling totally bereaved. ★★★★★ “Hilarious and moving throughout …. Jonny & the Baptists will make you laugh until you cry and probably cry until you laugh, too. A must-see.” Sunday Post

Tiff Stevenson (31st July) – person of interest on Mock The Week, People Just Do Nothing and The Bugle – squats and delivers a stand-up show about the extreme sport of womanhood. After a longer gestation than any of us could have expected, Tiff finally takes her critically acclaimed 2019 Edinburgh Show on the road. ★★★★★ Sunday Herald

Music lovers of all stripes can enjoy tributes to their favorite musicians at The Mill. Join us for The Retro Rock Show (10th July), a live two-hour extravaganza of the greatest rock songs and power ballads of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Harking back to the wonderful days when the dance floor was king, Soul Train (15th July) features a fun presentation of 60s and 70s soul classics. Country fans will love Country Superstars (23rd July), hosted by Sarah Jayne and Andy Crust (endorsed by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers respectively). Or for a disco night to remember, Almost the Bee Gees (30th July) takes you on a whirlwind tour of the Brothers Gibb!

Our Creative Learning programme of classes and workshops continues with a workshop in Fairy Light Lanterns (10th July) and the hugely popular class in Life Drawing (17th July).
