Alans Africa “making a real difference” in Sierra Leone

Read This magazine is delighted to share the latest update from Alan and the team.

Phase 1 of the project, to build 2 classrooms, an office and staffroom, to create a new, much needed, secondary school has now been running for just 23 days. As well as the progress on Phase 1, the guys started to dig the toilet block pit as the “spoil” can, and has been used to infill the foundation slab of the classroom block.

Everything at the site is done manually (including making all the concrete blocks) so progress is really good.

EVERY £ raised goes to the project and every £ can and will make a difference.

It costs just £1 for the materials and labour to make a concrete block and £7.50 for a 25-kilo bag of cement.

Just Giving charge a small card processing fee but I have a donor who will offset any charges that I incur.

Just Giving asks, by default, for a voluntary contribution towards their running costs, however in the Donation Summary section you can set this at £0.00 by clicking on Enter Custom Amount. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/alansafrica-konno Making A Real Difference”.
