Citizens Advice North Oxfordshire and South Northants have a number of exciting opportunities for volunteers working directly with clients to help them in the current cost of living crisis.
Within the Advice Team we are looking for volunteers to direct clients to our many services.
We also have the Community Assist Team (CAT) where we have a number of different roles:
Help clients in the comfort of their own homes to get the most out of their digital devices and reduce digital isolation. You don’t need to be a computer whizz kid, just confident with day-to-day computer use.
Would you like to befriend people in the community to help them improve their physical and mental wellbeing?
Some clients just want someone to chat to them over the phone, some would like a chatty pal to go for short walks and others may require a little hand-holding to help their confidence using public transport and attending local groups and activities.
We also have an opportunity which you can do from the comfort of your own home!
Helping people over the telephone or by video call, giving them up-to-date information on grants, discounts and tips on saving energy.
By becoming a volunteer for just a few hours a week, you can make a real difference to people in your Community.
Full training will be given for each of the above roles, information will be at your fingertips and you will have the support of the CAT team behind you assisting you on your volunteering journey.
We welcome anyone who would like to learn more.
Please just drop in when you are free, have a coffee and a chat, ask any questions and hear more about these opportunities.
