As the leaves start to change colour, and there’s a fresh chill in the air, the team at Sulgrave Manor is embracing the change in season and are getting ready for a host of autumnal events. They’d love to see you at one of them!

Heritage Open Day – 12 September

The Tudor Manor will be taking part in Heritage Open Day – England’s largest festival of history and culture. Every September, places of historical interest across the country open their doors and give visitors a chance to discover new places and experiences. On Tuesday 12 September, Sulgrave Manor will be throwing open its doors for free! For more information and to book your free ticket go to What’s On (sulgravemanor.org.uk)

Apple Themed Open Days  24 – 26 September

Where better to celebrate all things apple than in an orchard? They have 36 apple trees including the oldest Loddington apple tree ever recorded (almost 200 years old!)  With craft activities, apple picking, family trails and crafts there will be plenty for all the family and all activities are included in their regular admission price. Join them for their Apple Themed Open Days on Sunday 24th, Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th September 10.30 am to 4 pm (last entry 3 pm) To find out more and to book online go to: What’s On (sulgravemanor.org.uk)

Autumn Fest – 29 October

Why carve a pumpkin when you can paint a turnip?! Head over to their family fun day to celebrate all things autumnal. As well as turnip painting, you can try and toast the perfect marshmallows, follow their family trails and create some fantastic autumnal leaf crafts. All activities are included in the entry price of just £8 per adult, £6 per child or £25 per family of four. Booking online is essential and available here: What’s On (sulgravemanor.org.uk)

There’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy at Sulgrave Manor, whatever the event. Visitors can explore the lives of George Washington’s Tudor ancestors inside the Manor House or wander around the picturesque gardens. With a woodland play area, coffee and cake, family trail and craft activities it’s a perfect day out for anyone in the local area.
