Have you ever wondered what it feels like to grow old in Banbury? Imagine a place where every corner, every street, and every service is tailored to make the golden years truly golden. That’s the vision of the Age Friendly Banbury Partnership. But how close are we to this dream? And more importantly, how can you play a part in this noble endeavour?

The Age Friendly Banbury Partnership

Ever heard the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child”? Well, it also takes a community to care for its older residents. The Age Friendly Banbury partners are a diverse mix of organisations, businesses, and charities, all united with one goal: making Banbury a great place to grow old.

The Journey So Far

It’s been five years since Banbury joined the UK network of age-friendly communities. And what a journey it’s been! From the launch of the Age Friendly Banbury partnership to the countless activities and services rolled out, Banbury is on a mission to redefine ageing.

The Importance of Your Voice

What’s the secret ingredient to helping Age Friendly Banbury partners make Banbury truly age-friendly? You. Your experiences, your insights, and your voice matter. The partnership is once again reaching out to hear from older members of the community. After all, who better to guide the way than those who walk the path?

How to Participate in the Consultation

Time to roll up those sleeves and make a difference! Whether you’re tech-savvy or prefer the traditional pen and paper, there’s a way for everyone to share their views:

  • The Digital Age: Online Survey
Simply visit this link. It’s that easy!
  • Hard Copies: Accessibility for All
For those who prefer a tangible touch, hard copies are available at various Banbury locations, including the Castle Quay Community Space, where you can also leave completed copies, libraries and community centres. You can also request one by contacting Wellbeing@Cherwell-DC.gov.uk or calling 01295 221980.

The Power of Unity: Partnerships at Play

Unity is strength. And the Age Friendly Banbury partners are a testament to this. By pooling resources, sharing knowledge, and collaborating on projects, these partners are the driving force behind Banbury’s age-friendly transformation.

The Impact on Banbury’s Older Residents

From accessible public spaces to tailored services, the impact of these initiatives on Banbury’s older residents is profound. It’s not just about making life easier; it’s about enriching it.
