BITE, which premiered at renowned genre festival FrightFest London, is the feature film writing and directing debut of real-life surgeon and Banbury resident James Owen, whose 30 years of surgical experience, detailed knowledge of human dissection and vivid imagination will shock you in this gory and blood-soaked tale of a crime and cannibalism!

To celebrate the film’s release on digital HD at the height of spooky season there will be a special red-carpet screening event at The Light cinema in Banbury – the town where the film was shot and which is home to the director and some of the other members of the cast and crew too.

Chloe Fellerman, Director of Programming  said “We’re delighted to be hosting a red-carpet preview screening of BITE at The Light Banbury. We love celebrating the work of local filmmakers and can’t wait to bring BITE to audiences next week!”

The screening starts at 8pm on Monday 30th October and will be followed by a Q&A with James Owen.

The Light Cinema is located on the Waterfront at Castle Quay, Spiceball Park Rd, Banbury OX16 2PA

Film synopsis:

Pursued by a dangerous criminal after a failed theft, con artists Nina and Yaz get way more than they bargained for when they target a seemingly innocent elderly widow called Beryl. Incarcerated in a nightmare version of suburbia and consumed with fear, Nina and Yaz find themselves fighting desperately for their lives against Beryl’s family of deranged and hungry psychopaths!

The screening is only for those aged 18 and over. No one under that age will be permitted entry.
