Christmas at The Mill Arts Centre

Don’t miss a fantastic festive line-up of comedy, music and more this Christmas at The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury!

There’s still time to see beloved children’s author Tom Fletcher’s interactive adventures leap from page to stage in brand-new musical production There’s a Monster in Your Christmas Show (7th – 23rd December). A high-energy 50-minute adventure featuring lively original music, this show is the perfect introduction to live theatre.

We are also delighted to welcome back Let’s All Dance with their family-friendly version of the classic ballet The Nutcracker (9th December). Join Clara and her Nutcracker Prince as they travel through magical lands, and meet the Mouse King, Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy in the beautiful Land of Sweets. With the company’s usual fabulous dancing, gorgeous costumes, crystal clear story-telling and sumptuous music, this is the perfect Christmas show for the whole family!

Music fans can take a trip down memory lane with former members of the legendary band The Kinks in a fantastic performance by The Kast Off Kinks (2nd December). Expect all the hits, including You Really Got Me, Dedicated Follower of Fashion, Sunny Afternoon, Lola, Days, Waterloo Sunset, Come Dancing, and many more for a great night out! Or why not rock out with the tongue-in-cheek festive celebration of the decade that taste forgot: That 80s Christmas Rock Show (9th December)?

Comedy fans are also in for a treat this December, as Double Emmy Award winner and star of ‘Smack The Pony’ Fiona Allen is touring her debut stand-up show On the Run (8th December). A show about family, marriage, and things that truly annoy her. It’s a show for everyone, even those passive-aggressive school mums… Plus, book ahead for the new year now so that you don’t miss top UK stand up and star of the Royal Variety Chris McCausland with his show Yonks! (9th & 10th January).

And, for a festive treat with a difference, expect glittering showgirls, bawdy comedy, classic vaudeville, and awe-inspiring circus acts with the return of the much-loved Hundred Watt Club: A Burlesque Christmas Special (7th December). Always seductive, always sublime and always that little bit ridiculous. Not for the faint hearted!

With all this and much more, visit our website or pick up our What’s On Guide to discover what’s on at your local arts centre!

Full details of our programme are available at www.themillartscentre.co.uk. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone 01295 279002 – or pop into our Box Office in person at The Mill Arts Centre, Spiceball Park Road, Banbury OX16 5QE.

The Mill is open 9:30am-4:30pm Monday-Saturday with hot and cold drinks and light refreshments available from the Café Bar.
