On Tuesday, February 13th, at 8 pm, the team at GRAF UK Gym will embark on a 24 Hour Rowing Challenge. They are aiming to cover 344 miles, the distance between our Glasgow Branch and Banbury Head Office. This isn’t just about setting records; it’s a heartfelt effort to support the Katharine House Hospice, a vital local charity providing end-of-life care to around 1,300 individuals annually.
This challenge is part of the Katharine House Hospice Accumulator Challenge, a series of fundraising activities they’ve been proud to support since October. From a festive pub quiz to donating proceeds from a sponsored bar at Banbury Rugby Club, they’re now looking to make a significant impact with our rowing event. And, they’re thrilled to have an Olympic Gold Medal rower joining us, adding an inspiring twist to our endeavour.
The entire event will be live-streamed, offering a unique opportunity for their community and supporters to tune in and cheer on the participants. More importantly, it’s a chance to shine a spotlight on the incredible work done by Katharine House Hospice, which relies solely on community donations and support.
Their goal is to raise £10,000 in their 24 Hour Rowing Challenge, with every penny going directly to support the hospice’s crucial services. You can donate via their Just Giving page.
