Family fun in Banbury this Easter

This Easter, join us at The Mill Arts Centre for a whole host of fantastic family shows!

There’s still time to catch Mill favourites Let’s All Dance as they bring us their enchanting version of the classic children’s story Goldilocks (5th April), perfect for ages 2-14 and their grown-ups. It’s a wonderful chance for the entire family to experience the magic of live, professional ballet—a special treat for Easter. Lyngo Theatre also join us with mesmerising puppetry and beautiful songs aimed at ages 5+ in their adaptation of The Little Prince (13th April) – one of the best-selling children’s books of all time.

For younger audiences, be sure not to miss Claytime (14th April), a play with clay made with and for 3–6-year-olds where the audience are invited to participate in interactive theatre at its most engaging. Or, for something a little different, come along to Comedy Club 4 Kids (28th April), featuring the best stand-up and sketch acts from the international circuit doing their thing for an audience of children and their grown-ups – but without the rude bits!

“A highlight for children in recent years, giving them a taste of some of the biggest names in comedy… with the fun, rowdy feel of a real comedy club” – The Guardian

“The ethos is just right” – The Daily Telegraph

“The perfect way to entertain the whole family.” – Three Weeks

“Comedy Club 4 Kids has stand-up sets from grown-up, high-quality acts who perform their usual sets, just without the swearing or rude bits.” – The Independent

Music enthusiasts will be delighted by our stellar live acts this April. From widely acclaimed tributes like A Celebration of Simon and Garfunkel (12th April), Simon Goodall & the Bourne Again Shadows (20th April) and Lollypops & Moptops (26th April), to a celebration of vintage music in Swing That Music: The Music of the Big Bands with Down for the Count All Stars (19th April) – there’s bound to be something that takes your fancy!

We’ve got plenty of live theatre on offer this season too. Join us for a gripping adaptation of some of Charles Dickens’ most spine-tingling works in The Haunting (7th April), guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat! Or for something a little more light-hearted, why not join HangFire Theatre with their fast-paced and hilarious adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s famous comic masterpiece The Importance of Being Earnest (15th April)?

For even more laughs, be sure to come and see Paul Sinha & Friends (25th April) for an evening of hilarity with the acclaimed comedian and star of ITV’s The Chase as he and his guests entertain you with humour that promises an unforgettable night of laughter and fun. And for a unique glimpse into the real life of Britain’s most notorious gangsters the Kray twins from their trusted official biographer, be sure to catch Ronnie, Reggie & Me with Fred Dinenage (6th April).
