WOW Compare launches the #CostOfLivingChallenge in a bid to help UK households cut monthly bills.

UK price comparison site WOWCOMPARE.CO are challenging UK households to compare energy prices, compare broadband prices, compare mobile phone deals to see if they can save.

Across the UK the post pandemic cost of living crisis has hit many families with rising inflation, rising energy bills and higher prices for other essential services. Whilst recent news of falling inflation is positive, households could be losing out by putting up with price rises for energy, broadband and mobile phone bills.

Ofgem announced the Energy Price Cap will fall to £1,690 from April to July. So households have an opportunity to switch to cheaper variable or fixed price tariffs. It could be a good time to compare energy deals, especially if you are already out of contract, or if your contract is about to end.

Nick Thorp director at WOW Compare says the website has seen increased traffic from those looking to compare electricity & gas prices along with other home services including broadband. Nick believes people are getting fed up with providers who keep increasing prices.

“People are definitely more willing to switch service or provider, the prospect of cheaper electricity & gas, and saving £100 or more per year with cheaper broadband, is driving more people to use comparison services. Households need to keep an eye on their broadband and phone charges as many providers are sneakily putting up monthly charges this April. BT, Sky, Virgin and other services are planning to hike prices anywhere between 6% and 8.8%.”

If your broadband is going up and you are out of contract, you are free to change your broadband provider. WOW Compare allows you to search broadband prices and offers where you live using your postcode, you could find faster, cheaper broadband in a couple of minutes.

Key to WOW Compares success is maintaining better user privacy, Nick stresses: “We don’t capture personal user information, so bill payers can be confident we won’t hassle them to sign up for offers they don’t want, or need. Our comparison service puts you in control, if you do find a great offer, you sign up directly. Effectively we just help you find great deals and get you where you need to go, whether this is for electricity, gas, broadband, phone or mobile phone services.”

Comparing prices and offers at WOWCOMPARE.CO is free however the site may earn a small referral commission if you sign up for a service via the website. This will never influence a quote, you won’t pay a premium for securing money saving deals, and in many cases, you are able to take advantage of exclusive savings and offers.
