Fabulously Uplifting Performances

Hurray! The days are getting longer, nature is starting to bloom and here at The Mill we are feeling full of sunshine…

For all our music lovers, get ready to sing along! Join The Amy Winehouse Experience (14th March) for an authentic tribute to Amy’s vocal talent and soul, or belt out ‘Please Mr. Postman’ with The Carpenters Experience (15th March), the UK’s premier Carpenters show. Dreamcoat Stars (5th April) will also take you on a musical journey, offering the chance to sing along to classic hits from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Dirty Dancing, Hairspray, and West Side Story. And for something a little different, don’t miss A Country Music Songbook (4th April), a brand-new country music theatre show featuring a talented ensemble of musicians and singers, bringing intimate moments, engaging stories, and emotional performances to life.

If laughter is what you’re after, we’ve got you covered. The ever-charming Lucy Porter (2nd April) is back with a brand-new stand-up show all about regrets—disastrous dates, career mishaps, ruined friendships, and parenting fails, all the moments from her past she’s using to shape her future. Create your own adventure in the world’s only live-action, text-based game The Dark Room (17th April) crafted by the twisted and laugh-out-loud mind of John Robertson. Or, for a nostalgic adventure, step into the world of Knightmare Live (3rd April) with a hilarious tribute to the beloved TV show.

Get ready for some theatre with a twist as Banbury Cross Players present Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime (20th – 22nd March), a witty comedy whodunnit that spoofs an Agatha Christie-style country house murder mystery. If you’re a fan of something a bit more surreal, Brother Wolf invites you to The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party (9th April), a mind-bending, absurdist take on Lewis Carroll’s timeless classic.

Time to get your dancing shoes on because Strictly Banbury (11th April) is back, bringing all the glitter, glamour, and sparkle you can handle! And, as part of Out of The Mill, our series of activities beyond our walls, Fam Jam (15th March)returns to Whitelands Sports Ground in Bicester, where families can enjoy dancing, face-painting, games, and adventures together.

Last but certainly not least, the stunning dance adaptation of Michael Rosen’s award-winning Sad Book takes to our stage (28th & 29th March). Produced by 201 Dance Company, this visually inventive and emotionally moving show is a journey through complex feelings in everyday life. With dance, physical theatre, animation, and stunning original music, this is a must-see performance that has been hailed as “a talent to watch” by the Evening Standard.

Be sure to book your tickets early, as these incredible events are selling fast…
