Banbury Postiche, the UK-based wig makers, has launched a new range of CBD-infused skincare products specifically designed for people undergoing chemotherapy.

Skincare is an essential part of cancer treatment, and these products aim to help soothe and hydrate dry and sensitive skin. In this blog post, we will discuss Banbury Postiche’s new CBD range, its benefits, and the development process that went into making it.

The new CBD range

The range includes a CBD Aloe Vera Moisturiser and Vanilla & Lavender Bath Bomb. Both products contain cannabidiol (CBD) and aloe vera, which are known for their soothing and hydrating properties. CBD is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant, and it has been shown to have various health and wellness benefits. Aloe vera, on the other hand, has been used for centuries for its skin-soothing properties.

Development of the products

Banbury Postiche has been serving cancer patients for over 90 years, and they have vast experience in wig making and understanding the needs of cancer patients. They incorporated customer feedback and spent months tweaking the formula to ensure that the products are safe and effective. They also used hemp-derived CBD oil and other botanicals to enhance the health and wellness properties of the products.

“A number of our customers have fed back that one of the main side effects of their chemotherapy was extreme skin dryness, particularly on the head, so as we have been manufacturing wigs for more than a century and with many of them being used by people undergoing cancer treatments, it was a natural progression for us to develop these skincare products.

“With this in mind we set out not only to incorporate the benefits of CBD oil, but to add other nourishing plant oils, including Aloe Vera, and having spent a number of months tweaking formulas we are delighted to offer these two products that will help provide additional relief for those who need it most.”

Benefits of CBD

CBD is a natural and safe compound that has been shown to have various health benefits. Research has highlighted its potential in reducing inflammation, relieving pain, and managing anxiety and depression. In the context of skincare, CBD can help alleviate skin irritation and inflammation, making it an excellent choice for people undergoing chemotherapy.

Partnership with The Little Princess Trust

Banbury Postiche has partnered with The Little Princess Trust, a Hereford-based charity that provides wigs to children and young people undergoing cancer treatment. Banbury Postiche supports the charity by donating a portion of their profits from the CBD range to the organization. The new CBD range can benefit children and young people undergoing cancer treatment by providing them with safe and effective skincare products that can soothe and hydrate their skin.

Banbury Postiche’s new CBD range is an excellent example of how companies can use their resources and expertise to help those in need. Skincare is an essential part of cancer treatment, and these products can help alleviate some of the discomforts associated with chemotherapy. The use of CBD and aloe vera in the products enhances their effectiveness and safety for cancer patients. Banbury Postiche’s partnership with The Little Princess Trust also highlights their commitment to supporting cancer patients and their families. We hope that more companies will follow their lead and develop similar products to help those in need.
